Tuition Fee Substitution Funds
Funds for the Substitution of Tuition Fees at RWTH Aachen University
The tuition fees introduced in the winter term 2006/07 will be substituted by federal funds from the winter term 2011/12. The State of NRW makes about 250 million Euros available for the universities.
Use of the funds at RWTH Aachen University
The fees, minus the payments for those students who cannot pay the tuition fees partly or fully (Ausfallfonds), are intended for the universities and shall be used exclusively for the improvement of teaching and study conditions. The conditions for the application of tuition fees were also adopted by the Senate in February 2006.
